The THOMAS SMITH FIRM, P.C. provides client-centered, quality legal services with integrity, professionalism and respect for clients and the community. Our principle goal is to inform, educate and advocate for clients, utilizing an innovative approach to achieve powerful results.

The firm counsels clients in all aspects of family law, including divorce, support, custody, equitable distribution, and protection from abuse (“PFA”) in Bucks, Philadelphia and Montgomery Counties.

Our offices are conveniently located in Newtown, Bucks County, Pennsylvania.


Tiffany Thomas-Smith, Esquire


Tiffany Thomas-Smith is a dedicated and experienced attorney who focuses her legal practice on the many facets of family law. In 2011 Ms. Thomas-Smith founded The THOMAS SMITH Firm, PC, a boutique legal firm in Bucks County, Pennsylvania to provide clients in Bucks, Montgomery and Philadelphia Counties with “client-centered” quality legal services.

At The THOMAS SMITH Firm, PC clients are educated about the variety of legal options, which include alternative dispute resolution process, such as collaborative law, mediation, negotiated settlements and litigation options which require conference and hearings.

Ms. Thomas-Smith prioritizes educating and advising clients about the legal methods and works to tailor those that best meet the client’s needs, whether that may be by amicable resolution or through trial before a Judge.

Ms. Thomas-Smith has extensive experience in all aspects of family law, including divorce, dissolution, separation, prenuptial agreements, post nuptial agreements, child custody, step-parent adoption, parenting plans, custody relocation, grandparent rights, third party custody, alimony pendent lite (APL), spousal support, alimony, child support, separate maintenance, same sex family matters, high net worth division of assets and debts, and all other aspects of equitable distribution.

At the THOMAS SMITH Firm, our principle goal is to inform, educate and advocate for our clients, utilizing an innovative approach to achieve powerful results. Ms. Thomas-Smith practices with integrity, professionalism and respect for clients and fellow counsel. Ms. Thomas-Smith is admitted to the Pennsylvania and New Jersey Bar. She graduated from Howard University School of Law, where she obtained her Juris Doctorate degree in 1996 and she received her undergraduate Bachelor of Arts in History degree from Duke University.

Ms. Thomas-Smith was formerly the President of the Buck County Collaborative Law Group (BCCLG) and has been recognized as an avid supporter of community interests. She was a former member of the Board of Directors and supporter of The Healing Consciousness Foundation and is on the Board of Directors for the non-profit organization, Innovations For Good. She is a Bucks County resident, wife and mother of two sons.

Your Legal Team


Katie Lin Boyle

Katie Lin is the THOMAS SMITH FIRM’s law clerk. She started with the firm as a paralegal and office manager in 2014. She earned an Associate’s Degree in Paralegal Studies from Bucks County Community College, a Bachelor’s Degree in History from Temple University and is a rising 1L at Rutgers University Law School. Katie Lin intends to rejoin the firm as an associate upon the completion of her JD. She hopes to be trained collaboratively and as a mediator to uphold the firm’s emphasis on reaching resolutions outside of litigation.

Born and raised in Philadelphia, she lives in South Philly with her partner, Michael (a public defender in Berks County) and her cat, Ivy (a tuxedo cat). Outside of law, Katie Lin’s interests include Cold War history, photography, cactus cultivation and baking.


Donna Reading

Donna joined The THOMAS SMITH Firm in 2015 as a legal assistant. She graduated from Loyola College, Maryland with a Bachelor of Arts degree and settled into her life as a mother of three sons, focusing her energy on volunteering and fundraising efforts for her children’s schools and various organizations. Now she enjoys utilizing her organizational skills at the Firm and supporting clients through their specific family matter process.

Donna and her husband Bill are originally from New York and have resided in Bucks County for the last twenty-two years. She enjoys spending time with her family and friends, hiking, biking and reading.
